Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.” (NRSV)
The writer of Colossians teaches us that the best way to absorb the message of Christ into our lives is through music of all kinds. At Trinity, music is an active way of learning, sharing, and experiencing the presence of Christ. We celebrate through all kinds of instrumentsthat we use in worship and education…the pipe organ, pianos, guitars, drums, hand bells, maracas triangles, brass and woodwinds. And we praise God with all kinds of vocal music…hymns and the liturgy sung by the congregation, solos by younger and older musicians, praise music led by the band, anthems cantatas sung by the Chancel Choir, Festival Choir, Children’s Choir, Cherub Choir, and Youth Choir.
In all musical ways we praise and celebrate together the richness of Christ in our lives.
