Missions

At Trinity, we believe in Christ’s call to love and serve our neighbors. We fulfill this call through service to our brothers and sisters who are in need. We strive to broaden one another’s perspective of Christian social responsibility and the call to action. We focus on the needs of people in the Lancaster area, around the US,  and around the world. As a congregation we believe it is “God’s work, Our hands.” Our missions are designed around “accompaniment” – the concept of walking beside another in need and seeing Christ in that moment.

We offer family mission experiences close to home and abroad. These include:

  • Inner-City Baltimore Trips to Amazing Grace Lutheran Church
    – Trinity is committed to a ‘prayer partner’ relationship with this congregation. Events are planned for interaction twice a year and we support each other as needed when situations arise.
  • One domestic mission trip is planned each year.
  • Trinity also takes teams to Ouanaminthe,  Haiti every third year to teach a summer school program in this third-world country. Our next trip will be in the summer of 2019.  For more information on Haiti missions, please contact Elayne Olson.
  • In July 2017, Trinity is partnering with Tree4Hope to serve in Guatemala.  Please contact Elayne Olson for more information.

In addition to mission trip, Trinity also currently supports:

  • Mount Joy Food Bank
  • Mount Joy Lions Club
  • Heifer Project
  • ELCA World Hunger
  • Rocky Boy Indian Reservation
  • Mount Joy Helping Services
  • Water Street Ministries
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Stop Hunger Now
  • Donegal Power Pack Project
  • Various other organizations throughout the year
