A Message from Trinity’s Council on Worship

At its meeting on May 18th, Council amended its recent decision on worship and masking to the following:

  • In adherence to CDC/state guidelines, beginning this Sunday (May 23rd) masks in worship will be optional for those who are fully vaccinated.
  • In adherence to CDC/state guidelines, non-vaccinated individuals are required to mask.
  • Singing will return to indoor worship.
  • Distancing will be encouraged with an every-other pew set up.

As a result, we will be moving more and more in the weeks ahead towards “normal” worship!

For now, we are maintaining the 9:00AM and 11:00AM Sunday schedule. The 11:00AM service will be at Little Chiques Park for the next two weeks and move indoors on June 6th.  Being mindful of the fact that some are not comfortable
with gathering indoors for worship, we will continue with our plan to have an outdoor service at the park at 11:00AM on the last Sunday of the month through the summer. Also, online worship will continue.

We understand that this is an exciting (and, for some, anxiety producing) time. Council has continued, throughout the pandemic, to do it’s best to follow government directives. We are continuing that practice with this latest decision and, while we know there are areas of disagreement, ask that everyone respect these decisions. As importantly, we are a community called to love, respect, and care for each other! Given that call, and the inherent trust involved, we will not check for vaccinations at the door. Also, no one who wears, or who does not wear, a mask should feel judged.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us in ministry! If you have not attended worship recently, please do soon! We will continue to keep you abreast of decisions and developments in the days ahead!

In Christ,
Jess Dinkel, Council President
Rev. Mike Martine, Sr. Pastor
